Hey! hahaha, Sorry man. It’s me again. I think I’m becoming your lead bug hunter… can I get any commission for it? 🙂 Just kidding…

      The problem…

I’d like very much to insert a masonry display of 2 posts at the end of each blog post. Everything looks fine if I choose simple display, but when I pick masonry, the sidebar seems to go to oblivion. It just disappears or gets squashed at the end of the post. Can you help me to fix this my friend? Or… is there any way I can replace the -previous post- – next post- section with a masonry display of related posts?

Thank you very much. I hope you have a great week!

Hi, buddy, I think you are the best tester, hahaha…

Sorry that can you provide me the question page link? I’m not quite understand.

      Thank you!

I made a test post so I can show you what I’m talking about

Oh…by the way… another bug popped… the ability to leave comments disappeared in this post

      http://estamosobservando.com/2013/09/postproduction/first-completed-shot/

How can I bring it back? I didn’t fiddle with that anyway. Why did the comment box disappear all of the sudden?

      Hi

      1. It seems caused by a PHP error, you need to enable WP_DEBUG in wp-config.php (in your site root folder), then I will see the error message.
Also, have you used any plugin content in this post? if yes, remove the plugin content, how about it? I just want to make sure it’s a plugin issue or not.

      2. For get back the comment, just edit this post, click “screen options” button which at the top right of the screen, then, select “Discusstion” checkbox, you will see the discussion metabox appeared below the visual editor, just select “Allow Comments”.

      Thanks

      Hello There!

Regarding the comments issue… Thanks a lot. I solved it. Comments back from the dead.

      About the rest…

Please check out the link again.

It’s the post were I added the problematic widget. For some reason, the post wasn’t displaying as it should. I deleted the code and did it again and it’s displaying now. Oh, and I changed the attribute on WP_DEBUG in wp-config.php to ‘true’

Check out on how the structure is blown and the sidebar gets piled up at the bottom of the post.

Thanks a lot for your help!

      (just to add some context)

Hmmm what am I looking for you might ask?

Well, I’d like a grid of related posts with thumbnails at the bottom of each post. Is there any automated way to achieve this without inserting the widget at the end of every article?

    • #6237

      ohhhh,

and I almost forgot to tell you. I’m not using any plugins.

    • #6243

I see the sidebar problem, can you post your wp login details again? I remember you have been already told me,but I can’t find it.
I want to try it in my way.

Also, I think maybe you can try to use “WordPress Related posts” plugin to showing the related post under each article. https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-23-related-posts-plugin/

OK pal. Thanks. I’ll check it out. But… are you telling me that we can’t insert any Samsara widgets in the content area? No van_blog shortcodes are supported? Why? is there any way around this?

    • #6262

Yes, Because van_blog shortcode will generate many HTML codes, those codes will destroy the page layout. it only can be inserted into a full width content area, like the page template.

    • #6265

Oh… ok. Thank you very much for your help. Have a nice weekend!

    • #6267

      It’s my pleasure!

Yes, I found when I removed those vc_row shortcode the page will display as normal.

Because the post content area doesn’t support van_blog shortcode HTML structure. I think you have to choose one plugin to instead of it, or customize the single.php and add your own php code (Like this article said http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-add-related-posts-with-a-thumbnail-without-using-plugins/)
