This is similar to this post, but I wanted to showcase a few other issues I’m having with the blog options.

A) I’m having this issue when I try to add a custom header image to the Blog page: nothing appears.
B) I also can’t change the blog type under the page templates from standard to masonry — nothing happens.
C) Removing settings from the Samsara Settings> Blog section doesn’t make any changes to my site. For example, I removed the author option, but the author image still appears beside the blog post title.

Here’s what I did:
1. Settings> Reading> “Front page displays” is set to display a static page and points to another page to host the blog.
2. On the blog page, I hid the Page Title Area (option = Yes)
3. On the blog page, I linked to a custom header image under the Page Header Image field.
4. On the blog page, I changed the Template to Standard Blog
5. Saved the page

But despite all that, the custom header image doesn’t show.

I don’t want to use the category option because I want to showcase all blog posts. I don’t want to have to add every blog post to the “blog” category just so that it can be seen.

You mentioned fixing this in the next update. Do you have an ETA for when that fix will be available? Thank you.

Can you post your wordpress login information via private reply? Because I think I need to check the actual settings you made, for example, is the image URL is valid or not and etc…

For C), it will only hide author name from the post meta information, but not the avatar image.

Anyway, I can help you fix all issues soon after I can login your backend.

Hi

The header image is working fine now, please check this page http://test.smboyce.com/boyce-blog/
I found the masonry layout and shortcode generator is not working under WordPress 3.9, but it works fine in WordPress 3.8.x

I searched on google for these issues and someone said wordpress 3.9 includes many big updates so that I need to make the theme to compatible with it.

I will fix these issue and release V1.08 soon!
