Hello –
I love this theme and have just started setting everything up, but seem to have issues getting a logo to upload. I created a logo in Photoshop, which is 274 pixels wide x 74 pixels high. Background is transparent and I have saved it as a GIF. I then went to General Setting –> Custom Logo –> Browse. I can see the logo in my media library, but it’s not showing up on the website. What might I be missing?
Thanks,
Barbara -

Hi
Have you click the “insert to the post” button after you uploaded the LOGO?

Yes, I clicked “Insert to post”, but still no luck. When I then check the logo in the media library, it is listed as “Unattached”.

Please send me your wordpress login information and website link with private reply, I want to check your setting.
I think you haven’t inserted the logo to the theme option panel successful. -

Hi, I’m continuing to have this problem. Is this a known bug? I tried 3 browsers with no luck.

Please post your login information.
Or you can try to add the LOGO with custom CSS manually. Put the following CSS into “OldCar options > Custom code > Custom CSS”:
h1.logo a { background: url(../img/logo.png) no-repeat; }
Just replace the logo url to your logo.

Thread necromancy: GO!
WP 3.9 & OldCar v1.9. Fresh WP (well, new multisite site deployment anyways). Theme freshly reinstalled.
Only plugin active is the one required by OldCar: Gallery Metabox (v1.5).Images selected via OldCar Options > General Setting > Custom LOGO, Retina(HiDPI) LOGO, Mobile LOGO, etc all get wiped (that is, the form “forgets” the selections) after clicking “Save Changes”. Uploaded files are successfully displayed in the Media Library. The fact that those files were selected just doesn’t seem to “stick”.
All other settings on that page, such as Copyright Info, seem to work just fine.
No missing files or errors on page render (in FF with Firebug).
I’d like not to have to depend on the CSS workaround mentioned above for maximum responsive goodness.
What would you recommend I check next?

I was afraid you’d say that.
Solutions hidden under “Private” tags make it hard to self-troubleshoot and aren’t very sustainable. What is it that you intend to do or check? I want to be sure I can grant you the access that you need.
As I mentioned, this is a Multisite install of WP so the best I’ll be able to do is give you Admin to the (single) site (so, no Super Admin access – see http://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities#Administrator). You won’t have access to Install a Theme, Update a Theme or use Appearance > Theme Editor to edit theme files.
By the way, I just tested that this issue is repeatable in Firefox, Chrome and IE (yes, I did wash my hands afterwards).
To reproduce:
In WP Dashboard, navigate to OldCar Options > General Setting.
Click ‘Browse’ button beside ‘Custom LOGO’.
Select image from Media Library OR upload a new image.
Click ‘Insert into Post’.
Note that “Remove Upload” link appears beside ‘Custom LOGO’ in place of the ‘Browse” button.
As additional test, modify ‘Site Description’ text.
Note “Settings have changed!, you should save them!” alert text near top of page.
Scroll down and click ‘Save Changes’.
Note “Settings Saved!” text that appears (briefly) near top of page.
Clear browser cache.
Navigate to Site (or reload Site).
Note that selected/uploaded Custom LOGO does not appear.
Note that edited ‘Site Description’ text does successfully appear. -

I just want to try to upload the LOGO again by myself, because sometimes, if using the other browser to do it, it will working fine.
If you are not allow me to login, I’m not able to check the settings, so then the only one solution is using custom CSS as my old reply. -

I logined into backend, and insert the CUSTOM LOGO and FAVICON, I’m not sure I inserted the correct LOGO or not, please check your site.
Also, you need to prepare mobile LOGO as well

Your custom LOGO is too big http://scout.frutke.com/elizabethknoxoline/wp-content/uploads/sites/9/2014/07/logo_with_tagline_primary-logo-2.jpg
You’d better prepare two kinds of size for custom LOGOStandard size: 274X74px
For retina: 548 X 148px -

Ah. Don’t be fooled by that one.
The files I’m trying to use have all been resized to match the recommendations exactly, such as “logo_no-tagline_Secondary-Logo_64x40.jpg”, which is 64×40.Actually, I see a huge difference. Check out the pic below.
The selected images don’t show up for me, just the “Remove Upload” link.

Why is that? -

Finally, I found the reason, after you uploaded the logo, you should click “File URL” button, then, click insert to post button, that’s will be fine!
Now, you can do it by yourself, or send me all LOGO which you want with correct size via dropbox, I will upload and insert them
I can only find the following pictures in media library, but no one has correct size..https://www.dropbox.com/s/utzd15dv7nhz8rt/20140724153844.jpg
