      The message box for the contact template is not showing up and it’s required, so nobody would be able to send a message. Any ideas on how to fix? I recreated the contact page from scratch using the provided template and it still didn’t work.

      I think maybe you have installed a certain plugin confict with the contact form, so try to disactive the plugins one by one and figure it out which plugin is cause this issue, If possible, you can try to use the other plugin instead of the old one.

      Thanks. There was a plugin called Theme Companion that was a holdover from a previous theme. I deactivated that and it works now.
