There seems to be a conflict between the Samsara Theme and Visual Composer Plugin that causes an issue with Global Appearance / Customize settings. If Visual Composer is active the Customize settings will not save. If Visual Composer is deactivated then the Customize settings will Save & Publish. I made the changes I wanted while the plugin was deactivated and saved and published them, then activated the plugin and everything works. I just wanted to let you know about the issue and maybe you can troubleshoot why it’s happening.

Not sure it’s the visual composer problem or not, what’s your visual composer version in currently?
Also, I found visual composer has updated recently, so please leave me your email, I will send you the new version of visual plugin.

      Thanks

      Hey,

I received the email with the updated version 4.2.2 of Visual Composer. I uploaded it and activated the new version but still can’t save changes to the Global setting under Apperance/Customize. I’ve tried it with both the main theme and child theme and cannot save custom settings. I also tried changing the customize settings with the default theme and visual composer activated and it works. When I have Samsara activated and Visual Composer activated I can’t save the Global settings.

I will also contact Visual Composer author for feedback. Thanks

      Hi

Sounds it’s the theme or a certain other plugin issue, because I tried to save the customize settings on my own test site, and it’s working fine.
Can you post your wp login details here with private reply? Maybe I need to check your backend.

      Hi

I found the true reason is “Ultimate Coming Soon Page” plugin causes this issue, when I disactived this plugin, all that is working fine.
So, I think the easy way is change the other coming soon plugin, I guess a certain plugin is not compatible with it.

      Thanks
