Hell I’m reaching out because I need your assistance to uploading the dummy data. I followed your instruction and uploaded a WordPress importer plugin but when I select the “dummy data” folder the message I get is “Sorry, there has been an error. This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version number”. I am a hands on learner and know following the Dummy Data set up will help to learn and utilize the theme quickly. Please let me know what you need from me to help expedite this process as quickly as possible. Thank you in advance for your help

Did you select and import samsara.wordpress.2014-03-02.xml file which is under Dummy data folder?
Also, I found this thread http://wordpress.org/support/topic/missinginvalid-wxr-platformpro
there are some people also have this kind of issue and they have fixed, maybe it will help you.Thanks
