Excerpts only on category pages

Right now entire posts are showing are category pages. How do I make it so only excerpts show?

To be clear, I don’t want grid view….I just want excerpts.

Hi

Just go to “Posts > categories”, edit the category which you don’t want the grid view template, then, you will find an option for the category page template, just select normal blog template.

That does not solve the problem. There is no “blog template” option in Posts>Categories. There is only “default” and “grid.” I have it set to default. But it’s still showing the entire post on the category page. Please see my page http://adoptioncivics.com/category/education/.

I just want an excerpt like you have in the “blog” section on the demo.

hi go to your Dashboard > OldCar Theme Options > General Setting and set The layout of Home page to normal then click save changes.

I undertand you finally. You should insert the more tag into the post content where you want to split the content and show the front part on the category.
