Fluid Grid View

Hello –

I set my theme to “Fluid Grid View”, but all posts show up the same width, stacked one above the other. How do I get some posts to show up narrower? In the dummy template the following posts show narrower:

“A STANDART POST WITH IMAGE ALIGNED RIGHT”
“AUDIO FORMAT POST EXAMPLE”
“VIDEO POST EXAMPLE”
“A NORMAL ARTICLE POST WHITE THUMBNAIL”
“VIDEO POST WITHOUT THUMBNAIL”
“A QUOTE FORMAT POST EXAMPLE”

And these posts show wider:
“CLASSIC STYLE CARS”
“A GALLERY FORMAT POST EXAMPLE”

Also, in the Gallery template, I usually don’t get the images to show up. I am not clicking on “Insert to post” as per the instructions, but how do I know when an image is uploaded?

Hi

1. If you want a post container to be wide, you should set this post format to “gallery” at the right side of the edit page. If you want it to show up above all posts, you can set it sticky, go to “Posts > All posts”, just click “quick edit” link, you will find “Make this post sticky” checkbox.

2. Don’t forget to set the featured image for each portfolio posts at the bottom right of the edit page.

Thank you. Most of my posts will have images, so I was planning on using “Gallery” for those. Does only the “Gallery” have wide post containers?

Yes, it’s only for gallery format post, but if all your posts is gallery format, then all post container to be wide size, you can’t get the effect as same as the demo site, only if the other posts is another format.
It’s a small defect in this theme, I will improve it and let users can control the width of container by theirself.
