Every time I try to create a new portfolio item it does not show up. http://evoquemediastudio.com/brandonsgoldberg/gallery/ The only ones that do show up are the ones that came with the demo content but even they do not show a thumbnail image. Also when I do get to see the videos I posted it show it under the blog section http://evoquemediastudio.com/brandonsgoldberg/brandons-news/.

      Hi

      1. Portfolios issue, did you mean when click into the portfolio detail page, the portfolio gallery doesn’t show up? If so, you should upload the images into this portfolio post, otherwise, it will not display.

      2. Blog issue. I’m not quite understand, because the link you gave me it doesn’t exist http://evoquemediastudio.com/brandonsgoldberg/brandons-news/

      Thanks

      Thank you for replying BadJohnny:

I created this post using Add Portfolio: It shows up fine when I view it. http://evoquemediastudio.com/brandonsgoldberg/portfolio/message-to-billy-joel/

“Please notice when you go to this t link the “Press” Main Header Menu is highlighted instead of the “Gallery” Link on the top menu. Which makes me believe that it is showing up as a blog post instead of a portfolio post.”

In addition on my gallery/portfolio page it does not show up at all: http://evoquemediastudio.com/brandonsgoldberg/gallery/

Not sure my understand is correct or not, when I click gallery link, the page linked to http://evoquemediastudio.com/brandonsgoldberg/portfolio-2/
It seems no problem, only you need to set the featured image for the portfolio post, otherwise, the thumbnail will not show up.

The other side, “gallery”, “portfolio” and so on is the wordpress built-in slug name, so you’d better avoid to use them in your page URL. So I think you can use “portfolios” or “our-gallery” and so on, otherwise, it may cause some compatible problem or call a wrong template, like you are using brandonsgoldberg/portfolio/, actually, it’s calling a wrong template – Blog template, but should be portfolio template.

If my understand is not exactly correct, you can post your wordpress login details here with private reply, I think it will help me to understand question after I checked the backend settings.

      Thanks

      1. I have set the featured image (just for test) for each portfolio post, so they are visible in gallery page: http://evoquemediastudio.com/brandonsgoldberg/galleries/
When you edit the portfolio post, you can set the featured image at the right bottom of the screen.

      2. For the menu item hightlight issue, I went to “setting > reading > Posts page”, I found you have select “Brandon’s News” page, that’s why when you enter into the portfolio post, but the “press” is hightlight, so just leave this option empty. In the other side, we can not make the “gallery” hightlight, because it’s a static page, only if you use a portfolio category to instead of gallery page.

      Do I make any sense?
