MemberI downloaded a plug-in and when I hit the activate button, I got a “internal server error” message. I removed the plug-in and tried to download a different one, and had the same result. It doesn’t appear that I can download plug-ins with the theme without getting bounced out of the site. Please help!

KeymasterI mean that you can try to change the other theme temporary, then active the plugins again, I just wanna make sure whether it’s a server issue or theme issue first.

MemberI re-downloaded the plugin MyBookTable and when I hit “activate”, I got the Internal Server Error again.

MemberI downloaded a different plug-in (TablePress) and it worked fine. I wonder if the problem is only with Amazon-related apps on this theme???

KeymasterI’m not sure, because there are so many third-party plugins, It’s difficult to know all the plugins, so the theme only tested with the popular plugins.

MemberI uploaded the MyBookTable plugin to the site, but did not activate it. Let me know if you need anything else. To get it, I just typed “Mybooktable” in the plug-in search box in WordPress.

I tried to install and active mybooktable plugin with oldcar theme on my local sever and VPS hosting, it works fine on both And I also tried on your server, yes, I got 500 internal server error. It's really weird. I only have one last idea, edit wp-config.php enable WP_DEBUG, set it to true, then, active the plugin, maybe it will show some php information can help me.
Also, is it possible to ask your server admin or server provider to show your php log, check there's any errors in the log file, I can't make sure it's 100% a server issue or theme issue, but I have tried to actived it on my the other bluehost, it works fine. And, I asked my friend to test it with oldcar theme on his hostgator and hawkhost, it also works fine.

Which plugin you actived that it’s shows Internal server error?By the way, I found there’s an error notification on the top “The plugin mybooktable/mybooktable.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.”
