      Hello!
I was wondering if there is a way of displaying only a few words/lines of the articles included in one tag instead of the complete articles one after another. This can make the visitor have a better idea of the contents included in that tag (sometimes people do not scroll down to see all the posts displayed…).
Looking forward to your answer 🙂 Thank you!

      Hi

If you insert the “more” tag to your post content, or add a few text into the excerpt field for each post, it will be like what you want.

      Thanks

Thank you so much. It worked!

1/ I did it using the”more” tag. However, the text “Read more>>” is in English instead of Spanish (Leer más>>) as it should be because it is proporly translated in the poedit file as the rest of things…(http://dermatologia-bagazgoitia.com/tag/dermatitis-seborreica-dermatologia).

Moreover I have tried to change it manualy in the “postsgrid.php” and it does not work either

      <span class=”read-more”>“><?php _e(‘Leer más →’,’OldCar’);?></span>

Could you help me with this? What am I doing wrong?

2/ Another question: I cannot find the “excerpt field”:(…

      Thank you again!
      L.

      Hi

      1. It’s a small bug, I have already fixed just now. Please download the changed file https://www.dropbox.com/s/ba9t4qdydcrv3q2/common-functions.zip?dl=0
unzip it, upload common-functions.php to oldcar/functions folder, override the old file. Then, update the language file and translate the word in Poedit.

      2. When you in the edit the post screen, click the “screen options” button(at the top right side of the screen), then select “excerpt” checkbox, you will see the excerpt field under the editor.

      Thanks

      Thank you for your efectiveness!!
      1. problem solved.
      2. the “screen options” does not load on the post screen (it does in other screens of wordpress). Might this be because I just upgraded the wordpress version 4.0?
      Thank you 🙂

Oh… I can only assist you on the theme issues.
For wordpress update, you can also download the 4.0+ version and upload the wordpress files except wp-content folder to your site root folder via FTP, override all the old files.
