Masonry blog not working

Hi there,

I have created a page called Blog

I have assigned this as my Posts page in settings

I have then assigned the template “masonry blog” to this page

But it is just showing as a normal blog index page

This theme is really frustrating!

I have now deleted my data and installed your test data but it still doesn’t work

The masonry blog is blank but it is calling the posts into it

Don’t be frustrating, I guess it’s only a wrong setting problem
Could you tell me your website link and wordpress login information with private reply? I can help you to set it up soon.

By the way, what’s the current version of your samsara theme? I remember after wordpress upgrade to 3.9, the masonry blog is not working on WP3.9, so I have already fixed this issue in the latest version.

Im in the same boat. Masonry blog not working. Version is 1.07 (how do I update?) Im added dummy featured images to all of my posts. Not working

Hello, every one,

Before release the new version, here is a quick solution for the masonry.

Just put the following CSS into “Samsara options > custom style > css code”

.post.grid {display:none;}

Can I just confirm, after backing up “Samsara” in /wp-content/themes, I delete it and re-upload the new version from theme forest and all my data/settings will stay?

Yes, all data and settings will not lost.

As my ealier reply, I found the masonry layout is also not working in the latest version, but I have find a quick solution

Just put the following CSS into “Samsara options > custom style > css code”

.post.grid {display:none;}

I will also release the new version soon.

I’m really not happy that this isn’t sorted as I cannot launch my site until this is addressed

I checked your site and settings, that’s because you set “posts page” to “blog” in Setting > Reading.
So, just leave it empty. That’s it. 🙂

If your theme version is ealier than V1.08, yes, masonry layout is not compatible with WP3.9
Since V1.08, I have fixed this problem, and now the the latest version is V1.1

If you have never changed any theme files, please backup your current theme (/wp-content/themes/Samsara) through FTP first, then delete this theme, upload the new version of the theme, that’s it.

You can get the latest version on your themeforest download page.
