oldcar theme causes problems with bbpress forum search

Hi there,

I’ve noticed that the oldcar theme causes problems when used with the bbpress forum plugin software. If you can work out what is causing the problem I would be very grateful as I love the theme and don’t want to have to abandon it.

With the oldcar theme active. when you attempt to search forums in bbpress for a certain word no results are shown. Occassionally the word maybe found but then no results are displayed.

Steps to reproduce the errors:

On a new word press 3.6 installation.
Install oldcar theme.
Install bbpress plugin 2.3.2
Create a new forum.
Create several new topics with different titles and words (just so you have something to search for)
From the forum homepage, attempt to search for a word used in the topics
No results are found.

Adjust the theme to a default theme and try a forum search again. Results are found. Results are displayed correctly.

Something in the oldcar is stopped bbpress from displaying results or causing it to return no results?

Have you tried this plugin for the bbpress searching? “bbPress Search Widget”
I used this plugin on this forum.

If it still no result found, please post your wordpress login information with private reply, I want to check something on dashbroad.

I did try the bbPress Search Widget, unfortunately it didn’t help.

If I switch from the oldcar theme to another default wordpress theme the forum search works. I will send you a private message so you can have a look at the default test site and see the problem.

Fixed.

I have comment out the last line as below in theme-functions.php file
//add_filter(‘pre_get_posts’,’van_searchFilter’);

Becaust this function in oldcar theme is confict with the bbpress search function.
