Portoflio page structure

I’m a little confused about the structure of this portfolio section. I’m adding portfolio categories (ex: Design, Development, Photography), when I add those categories to the posts and I go to that page, it shows all of the portfolio categories, but it doesn’t filter them when I click on the other category links at the top. If i’m in the Photography portfolio it looks like it’s trying to filter by Design or Development within the Photography portfolio, instead of the root. Hopefully that makes sense.

Could you provide some information for how this should be built out, or maybe some info on different setups for nesting if thats possible?

Update: I was able to use the dummy data and figure out how it’s set up on the demo. Still curious about the possibility of different setup’s though. 🙂
