Revolution Slider not Working

Hi,

I imported a demo slider to check if it shows on my home page but I get the following error:

Revolution Slider Error: Slider with alias “sliderdemo” not found.
Maybe you mean: ‘sliderdemo’

Any idea why?

In the slider revolution dashboard I get memory limit is only 168M needs to be 256M error. I tried increasing this by adding this in wp-config.php:

define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘300M’);

But it’s not happening. Could this be the issue?

Hi

The revolution slider demo is included in your download package, you have to import the slider demo manually.

For the server issue, I think you’d better change the configuration from server, or ask the hosting support to help you change the memory size, 256M at least for WordPress running.

I have imported the demo slider and copied the shortcode to the home page where it says paste slider shortcode. I still get the error slider not found. I am really not sure why. Please help me out with this. Can I give you the login details to check?

I have also increased the memory limit. So that is no more an issue.

sorry, I found you have deleted revolution slider, can I reinstall it by myself or you do it?

So sorry for the delay, because our server was shutdown yesterday.

I fixed the issue.

After I changed [rev_slider alias=”homeslider”] to [rev_slider homeslider] in the home page setting field, it works fine.

Maybe because the theme can’t identify the new format of shortcode, so now I use the old format of shortcode.
