  Where I have to place the slider shortcode to see the the slider in the Homepage?

  You should edit the page which you have set it to the front page, you can find the “Shortcode of Revolution Slider” field in “Page setting” section. Look at this picture: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1v4pf30vdtmn1f7/shortcode-revolution.jpg
