Slider Revolution works on preview but not once saved

Hi there,
When I copy the Slider Revolution shortcode into the Page Setting section of a page and click preview, it all looks as intended. But when I click Update to save it, the ‘Shortcode of Revolution Slider’ in Page Setting reverts back to
[rev_slider alias=

In other words the slider doesn’t save on the page and it no longer displays on the preview. I’ve tried different sliders on different pages and am having the same problem each time. Any ideas?

I know there is an update available for Slider Revolution but I can’t download it as it was included in the theme. Maybe that would sort it out?

P.S. I can add the shortcode in a text block and that kind of works but it leaves a white gap at the top.

You can try to change the shortcode as [rev_slider “your_slider_slug”].

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me. I’ve updated Visual Composer and Revolution slider and tried what you suggested and still have the same problem. When I used [rev_slider “videoslider_slug”] I get the message:

Revolution Slider error. Slider with alias ‘videoslider_slug’ not found.

When I used the code as copied from rev slider I can still see it OK in preview mode but as soon as I press update the code disappears.

Any other ideas?

Please make sure you use English quotation mark for “videoslider_slug”
Don’t copy from here, you’d better enter the English quotation mark by yourself.

Hi,
Still no joy.

I’ve just tried some different quotation marks (the key with the double quotation mark and the single quotation mark (using both 1 and 2 of them) and it’s still the same.

With the slug bit it comes up with an error message, but whatever the option it disappears when I click update.
