I am having the same issue. I click to insert in post then I Save Changes and it reverts back to the default logo.

Hi

1. I found the errors are from visual composer plugin and sidebar.php of theme, but they are all nothing to do with the file upload feature.
2. Are you run run PHP in a strict mode or set wp_debug to true in wp-config.php?
3. I wanna know when you upload files in wp backend, is there any notification or error shows there?

Let’s have a test, try to change the other theme and upload image file again, see is that normal? If it still doesn’t work, I think it’s server configuration issue, otherwise, please post your wordpress login information here with private post, I need to check it in your wordpress admin.

I do not get an error when I upload a file, even in this theme.

I also find that for any “page” or “portfolio”, when I set the featured image, it does not show at the top of the page. You can see on my site, in the film page, it is pulling the image for the overview page, but when you click through to the detailed page, there is so featured image on top. Not sure what’s going on.

I’m not quite understand, did you mean you want your portfolio detailed page to have a top big slider like the demo http://demo.themevan.com/samsara/portfolio/fullscreen-gallery-slideshow/ ?

Ah. I figured it out (based on your answer) – the featured image does not put the image on top. You need to set up a Gallery.

I am unable to get an image to upload to the gallery and also unable to get the logo to upload. I wonder if it is a setting at the host.

It’s the server. I tried with another theme and it is also not showing the large image (that goes at the top of the page).

I have contacted the host. I will report back if that is not the issue.

It seems like it works in WordPress 3.8 but not WordPress 3.8.1…

Logo not uploading and Gallery (in Portfolio page) uploads the images into a text box at the top of the portfolio instead of into the gallery.

But I tested on my local site based on wp3.81, all that is normal.

Or you can try to disactive all plugins which are not belong to the theme.

I’m not sure whether it’s caused by certain plugin.

I tried that too. Not sure what’s going on. I changed the logo in the code by replacing the Samsara logo.

Nothing else worked.

Gallery still doesn’t work 🙁

If it still doesn’t work when you use the other theme, I think it’s not a theme issue that is exceed the support range.
I can only provide you some general and usual methods, for example, is it possible to use the other hosting? Or create a new wordpress site and make sure you completely uploaded all the wordpress files? Or go to backend, open the “developer tool”(if you are using chrome), try to open the gallery upload, check there’s any javascript error or not.
