Oh, I found the reason! Please ignore my previous reply.

Just download this file https://www.dropbox.com/s/a8rnb5zmia7tptd/van_portfolios_metabox.php.zip?dl=0 , unzip it, upload van_portfolios_metabox.php to “themes/samsara/functions/plugins/van-portfolios/inc/” folder, overwrite the old file.

You need to get the latest version from themeforest download page.

Go to Appearance page,

1. Switch the theme to another theme for a moment.
2. Delete the old version of the theme.
3. Reinstall the new version.

Don’t forget backup your old theme.

I found the portfolio type option still can’t be saved, could you set WP_DEBUG to true in wp-config.php? I want to know whether there’s any error message appeared when I save the the post.

Yes, the featured image of video or audio post will only display in the recent post widget which will place in the sidebar. If you want to show the featured image, it needs to modify the php code, you can let me know the wp login details with private reply, I will help you to change the code.

For the related post, I think you can use third-party plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-23-related-posts-plugin/
