I think it’s normal, the resgistration issue is acually not belong to the theme, because it’s a core feature in wordpress system, not included in the theme coding.

I changed the page name and page slug “artwork” to “artworks”, it works fine.

You can’t make the page slug as same as the potfolio slug. It seems wordpress doesn’t allow.

If you are using the latest version, please go to “Samsara options > general setting > portfolios slug “, you can change it here.
