Did you mean you want to create a gallery like slideshow as this demo post http://demo.themevan.com/oldcar/2013/06/22/classic-style-cars/ ?
If I understand correctly, you should select “gallery” for this post format, then just upload the images into this post, after you uploaded, just close the media window without click insert into post button, save the post.

Because Themeforest was announced that IE8 Compliance is now Optional, and meanwhile, they has been required add the following code into custom javascript so that IE8 is not support it.

var jQuery;

So you need to get rid of var jQuery; from all custom javascript file.

Please download the following new javascript file for IE8 http://d.pr/f/zr59
Unzip it and upload jquery.van.js to /wp-content/themes/oldcar/functions/js folder
upload oldcar.setup.js and jquery.contact-form.js to /wp-content/themes/oldcar/js folder
Override the old files.
